PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS EIGHT NEW PERMANENT SECRETARIES

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight new Federal Permanent Secretaries to fill in existing and impending vacancies of some states and geo-political zones in the top administrative cadre of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The new Federal Permanent Secretaries appointed after a diligent selection process by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation are:

(1) Dr. Emanso Umobong Okop – Akwa-Ibom

(2) Obi Emeka Vitalis – Anambra

(3) Mahmood Fatima Sugra Tabi’a – Bauchi

(4) Danjuma Mohammed Sanusi – Jigawa

(5) Olusanya Olubunmi – Ondo

(6) Dr. Keshinro Maryam Ismaila – Zamfara

(7) Akujobi Chinyere Ijeoma (South-East)

The President anticipates that the new Federal Permanent Secretaries will exercise absolute dedication, diligence, and fidelity to the nation in the discharge of their functions and ensure optimum service delivery to the Nigerian people.

PRESIDENT TINUBU MOURNS ELDER STATESMAN AMADU NA-FUNTUA

President Bola Tinubu extends his condolences to the Government and people of Katsina State over the passing of elder statesman and long-reigning Sa’in Katsina, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdulkadir.

The deceased, better known as Amadu Na-Funtua, was a renowned leader, politician, and businessman.

President Tinubu states that the contributions of the late Na-Funtua to community building and development will long be remembered.

The president prays for Allah’s mercy on the soul of the deceased and comfort for his family.

PRESIDENT TINUBU CELEBRATES BABATUNDE FASHOLA AT 61

President Bola Tinubu warmly congratulates Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), CON, former Governor of Lagos State, in commemoration of his 61st birthday.

Mr. Fashola is a highly esteemed lawyer, administrator, author, essayist, and prolific fount of public policy ideation, iteration, and analysis.

He has had a brilliant career trajectory – in private practice as a lawyer and in public service. He was the Chief of Staff when President Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State and had served in various capacities before his election as the Governor of the state in 2007.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria also served as Minister of Power, Works and Housing from 2015 to 2019, and Minister of Works and Housing from 2019 to 2023.

The President joins family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate one of Nigeria’s most gifted minds on this special occasion.

While thanking Mr. Fashola for his fervent services to the nation, President Tinubu prays for many more years in good health for him and his family, as well as for renewed vigour as an active voice and stakeholder in building a greater Nigeria.
